A council by-election will be held on the 6th September to choose a new local councillor. Liberal Democrat Callum Hawthorne is seeking to represent the people of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay after a number of years of neglect by the other parties.
After her election to Westminster Labour’s Councillor Lesley Laird has resigned having failed to turn up to most full council meetings this year.
Lib Dem candidate Callum Hawthorne said, “Local people have been short changed for over a year. I want to end this neglect.
“As our new councillor I will fight for a new school to be built in Inverkeithing, oppose the SNP and Labour’s Park and Ride parking charges and press for more funds to fix our crumbling roads.
“I will always be available for local people and I will not neglect them as the other parties have.”
