After the Central and West Area Planning Committee voted to allow planning permission for a McDonalds to be built in the car park of the Duloch Tesco, Liberal Democrat Scottish Parliament Candidate for Dunfermline Aude Boubaker-Calder launched a petition to ask Tesco to reconsider this. 339 local residents have now signed this petition as of the time of writing.

The seat was held by the Scottish Liberal Democrats until 2011. Aude previously came second in the Dunfermline Central Council by-election last year, coming only 2 votes behind the SNP winner.
