The Dunfermline Liberal Democrats have selected Aude Boubaker-Calder as their candidate for the Scottish Parliamentary Election next year. The seat was held by the Scottish Liberal Democrats until 2011. Aude previously came second in the Dunfermline Central Council by-election last year, coming only 2 votes behind the SNP winner.
Aude Boubaker-Calder has said, "I am delighted to be selected to stand for Dunfermline next year in the Scottish Parliament. After coming a narrow second place by only 2 votes in the Dunfermline Central By-Election last year I believe that people in Dunfermline want a change from the SNP and I know that I can be a fresh voice.
"I want to actively work for and with people and our communities in the constituency would be my priority.
"I would like to work on making positive change; improving mental health services, dealing with our climate emergency and recovering from the disaster of Covid-19.
"I look forward to bringing a positive campaign to Dunfermline over the next year."
